InfiniTree logo InfiniTree Geauga!

In celebration of Geauga County's 2006 Bicentennial, Geauga Council for Arts & Culture and Geauga Park District conducted a three year project s intended to show the infinite value of a single tree and to highlight the sugar maple's lasting effect on the county. The tree chosen was donated by Geauga County Historical Society and removed from the sugarbush at Century Village Museum in Burton. The "InfiniTree" is believed to be almost as old as our county and was chosen due to the danger of windfall (it was leaning to one side) and partial decay in the crown of the tree, as well as it's decline in sugar production. The slide show you see is some of the results of this amazing effort.
