Virtual Geauga Video Contest.  Entries taken from February 1 to April 30th, 2009.

Each year we sponsor and host a variety of events to support arts and culture in our county.  We work hard to ensure our programs reach out to artists, performers and musicians and patrons of all ages.  Click here for our complete schedule of events.
Below are a few highlights.

Virtual Geauga

Art Takes a Bough. November 29-30, 2009, showcases local artists and celebrates the holidays.  Artists create beautiful holiday ornaments used to decorate your home or to give as gifts.   We sponsor this event with the Geauga Park System.

Art in the Garden

Art in the Garden nestles local artists and musicians amongst the flowers and greenery at local nurseries.  Imagine shopping for just the right color, texture and fragrance for your garden.  While shopping local artists share their talents in stained glass, watercolors, card making, oils and sculpture. Listen to live concert performances and enjoy a chance to win prizes.  All free and open to the public!

Ovation celebrates the talents of local students in high school musicals.  This annual “Academy Awards” type event is held on stage at the Geauga Theater on Chardon’s charming square.

Virtual Geauga is our new video contest. Geauga County is rich in color, texture, creativity, talent and character.  We want to see it captured on a short video by a Geauga County resident!  We judge videos on originality, creativity and artistic content. Contestants’ videos will be posted on our website. Prizes are awarded to the winners in each category.
Orange Moon Trail is a playful evening that shares performance arts, delicious food, laughter and joy.  This dinner event is our annual fundraiser and an excellent opportunity to turn a night out into an investment in our community!
